WHAT: YO! Drum

DESCRIPTION:
Yo! Drum. A 2 hour healing arts and skills building workshop. Are you stressed at work, fatigued, tired and unenergized about life in general? This is your opportunity to revitalize yourself by learning drumming and yoga in the same night. 1 hour of drumming will be taught by Jali-D (Inventor Rappercussions) and 1 hour of yoga will be taught by HawaH (www.everlutionary.net).
Yo! Drum is also a fund raising event for the non-profit organization One Common Unity (www.OneCommonUnity.org) and our dynamic Young Women's Drumming Empowerment Project. OCU's mission is to nurture sustainable, caring communities through innovative peace education, arts and media.
Come early. Registration is sliding scale $15 - $25 per class, you can pay upon arrival. Scholarships are available. Contact 202.529.2125 for more information.
