Belladonna

Belladonna is an innovative and experienced dancer who has been performing belly dance throughout the East Coast since the spring of 1998. She has extensive training in Egyptian and other Arabic styles, as well American Tribal Style and tribal fusion. She has also studied many other ethnic dance forms, including classical Indian dance, which she incorporates into her performances. www.BelladonnaDance.net

Proserpina

Proserpina presents experimental dance fusion that reflects training in Egyptian, American Tribal Style, Flamenco, and Popping and Locking dance styles, as well as our own innovations. Naomi and Ariel met at Oberlin College, and have been dancing together for over 3 years. Our dancing has been fueled by a number of strong and creative teachers, most notably the Daughters of Rhea, Onca of
Baraka Mundi, Gina Schatz/Fotya, Artemis Mourat, Nikki and Dori,
and Mark and Tippy at DC Dance Collective.

ZarbeK - LIVE MUSICAL GUEST!

Zarbek is a DC-based trio combining Tribal Style belly dance and other world dance and music traditions with contemporary electronica and the dark art of sideshow geekery to present a truly unique and kaleidoscopic performance experience. Drumming and dancing, flamenco and straitjackets, firedancing and folksongs, breakbeats and broken glass, it all comes together when Zarbek comes to town. www.ZarbeK.com
